The Houston Horizon Chorus has been warming
the hearts of audiences since 1981. Our exciting a-cappella
performances feature an entertaining mix of musical styles
while continuing to preserve barbershop harmony. Barbershop
is one of only four types of music native to this country
and we are proud to be a part of and carry on this great tradition.
Houston Horizon is actively involved in educating young
people in this craft. We support the Young Women in Harmony
program, work with local schools, Girl Scouts, and other community
groups to introduce and teach this musical art form to our
youth and support their participation in this activity.
The Houston Horizon Chorus is a 501(c)(3) non-profit educational
organization, which relies on the encouragement and support
of the community to sustain the high level of our performances
and educational programming. Ticket sales cover only a portion
of our costs. For the balance, we rely on dues paid by our
singers, and on the financial support from individuals, foundations,
and corporations.
We invite you to become part of our musical family by contributing
to our growth and success by joining the Houston Horizon's Circle of Friends. Your tax-deductible gift
will go a long way in helping us continue to offer high-quality
performances and educational opportunities to women of all
ages.
Sponsors enjoy benefits that range from recognition in our
show programs to free show tickets.
The levels are as follows:
Friend: $25-$99
Patron: $100-$249
Bronze: $250-$499
Silver: $500-$999
Gold: $1000+
We truly appreciate the support of our many friends, community
groups, business and corporate sponsors, and foundations that
help us sustain our artistic level of excellence and support
our educational programs.
